What scholarships are available?
Mu Beta Psi offers multiple scholarships each year valued at $500 and $1,000 each.
Who is eligible to apply?
Both incoming freshmen and undergraduate students at our active Chapters’ institutions are eligible to apply. Brothers of Mu Beta Psi are not eligible and may not apply.

Can exceptions be made to the application deadline?
No. All scholarship applications must be submitted by the application deadline.
Do I have to be in a specific major field of study to apply for a Mu Beta Psi scholarship?
No. Mu Beta Psi scholarships are available to applicants of any major field of study.
Are scholarships given at each local Chapter?
Some Chapters offer scholarships as well. Please contact your local chapter leadership for more information.
When does the online application process close?
All applications for the following school year must be submitted online between September 15 and 11:59pm EST on April 1.
How and when will I receive notification?
• Once winners are selected and eligibility requirements are confirmed, they will be notified via email by Mu Beta Psi. This email notification will be sent out approximately 30 days after the scholarship deadline date.
• Non-winner notifications will be sent by email approximately 30 days after the scholarship application deadline by Mu Beta Psi.
• Add scholarship@mubetapsi.org to your email address book or “safe senders list” so these important emails are not sent to your junk mail folder.
Note: Your email address will only be used to communicate with you about your scholarship applications. We will not provide your email address to any third parties. Decisions of the scholarship committee are final and are not subject to appeal. No application feedback will be given.
Where and when should I send my supporting documents?
Upload your required documents online. If you do not follow the instructions exactly, your application may not be considered. Your submission must be complete by the stated deadline.
Can I receive feedback on my application if I do not win?
No. An impartial selection committee comprised of Mu Beta Psi Brothers selects winners. Decisions of the the committee are final and are not subject to appeal. Upon receipt, the application becomes the property of the scholarship committee.
Are scholarships taxable?
Tax laws vary. For example, scholarship funds used exclusively for the payment of tuition or textbooks are normally not taxable. The scholarship recipient is responsible for taxes, if any, that may be assessed against your scholarship award. We recommend consulting your tax advisor for more guidance.
Can applications be faxed or mailed to Mu Beta Psi?
No. All applications must be submitted online. Faxed or mailed applications will not be accepted.
